SPORTS HALL „GRADSKI VRT“

Sports hall Gradski vrt in the city of Osijek was designed as a multipurpose gym hall with five main halls and other complimentary facilities, and it’s recognition came with hosting the World Handball Championship in 2009. As a main part of the future sport & recreation center Gradski vrt, it became a new urban landmark with its special external and internal design; with its location and form, it improves the visual quality of the south entrances into the city as well the whole image of Osijek.

The main sports facilities located in five different halls as well as additional trim, fitness and sauna facilities along with a small swimming pool, are divided into few specific zones and levels. The whole total surface area of the building is 18.590 m2, and Hall A which will host the World gymnastics cup Grand prix Osijek 2011. has a total of 3.538 seats.

Apart from hosting sporting events, this multifunctional hall with can host a multitude of cultural, media and entertainment events (art exhibitions, expos, concerts, fashion shows, congresses, festivals and so on) due to its shape, size and functional organization.
