CITY OF OSIJEK

City of Osijek is the administrational center of Osijek-baranja county and it is located in the east of Republic of Croatia.

OSIJEK-BARANJA COUNTY

Osijek-baranja county, which is a mostly lowland part of north-east Croatia (region: Slavonia and Baranja) is located on the south edge of Panonia lowlands.

Slavonia is surrounded by three rivers: Sava, Drava and Danube, and it is the environment of the extraordinary beauty with rich forrests, pastures and hills. Here, you can find numerous castles and cottages, which were, in times of old, owned by rich families, which gives the special spice to this region.

There are famous wine roads in Baranja, bycycle paths, numerous ethnic villages and the family owned economies and also interesting restaurants. Certainly the tourist offer of this region is completed by the hunt and fishing opportunities, SUV rides, boat rides in Kopački rit and lot of other interesting activities.

CROATIAN GYMNASTICS FEDERATION (HGS)

Croatian gymnastics federation is a non-profit legal entity which is covering the entire territory of Republic of Croatia and it is registered in the associations’ register of Republic of Croatia (further in text HGS). HGS has 44 regular members, from that number, 42 sport clubs and 2 associations. It is a regular member of the European Union of Gymnastics . (UEG) and the Federation International of Gymnastics(FIG) since 1992.

The goal of HGS is to contribute with its work to:

• developing and improving the gymnastics:
• creating the conditions for achieving the highest goals in gymnastics;
• developing of the general system of physical conditions;
• developing and improving inter-personal co-operation of the members of HGS;
• creating international connections and co-operation;
• spreading the olympic principals and strenghtening the olympic movement;
• struggle against the drugs in sport, using the substances and forbidden actions in sport;
• education and creating experts in sports, coaches and refereeds.;
• informing and representing the gymnastics to media.

CROATIAN OLYMPIC COMITEE (HOO)

Croatian olympic comitee (HOO) is the highest non-governmental national sports organization, in which national sport associations are joined, and also the communities of the sport associations and organizations which are significantly contributing to the importance of sports and the olympic movement in Republic of Croatia. HOO is the registered member of the International olympic board. (MOO).

Croatian olympic board, is the highest sport association in Croatia, and it was founded on 10th of September of 1991 in Zagreb. The day of the acknowledgement from MOO (17.01.) is proclaimed in 1995. to be the Great day of Croatian sport and it is celebrated since then regularily by HOO.

Today, the members of HOO are the national sports associations, among which are 39 olympic and 38 non-olimpic sports, 20 county sport associations and the city of Zagreb, and also 9 associations and organizations that are important for the Croatian sport and the work of Croatian olympic board.
